Ep. 237 Karen Dillon: Innovation and Prosperity
I have read many books by the renowned (RIP) Professor Clayton Christensen, but there are two that I feel play an important role in the life of an entrepreneur and these are «How Will You Measure Your Life?» and «The Prosperity Paradox: How Innovation Can Lift Nations Out of Poverty», which is co-authored by Karen Dillon and African entrepreneur Efosa Ojomo.
I met Karen Dillon through interactions on different social media platforms and by following and reading her various articles about business and innovation.
I invited Karen to participate in my podcast as a guest to discuss her experience of working closely with Professor Christensen and how these two books have a great impact on organizations and individuals that seek to constantly innovate.
Karen and I mainly talked in person about the impact and also opportunities of innovating in poor countries to get them out of poverty, with great examples and real-life case studies explained in the book «The Prosperity Paradox: How Innovation Can Lift Nations Out of Poverty. «
These situations led many entrepreneurs from the five continents to find solutions to the problems they faced every day in their countries of origin.
