According to the New York Times Podcast Growth Is Popping in the U.S., Survey Shows, the number of podcast listeners has increased sharply this year, according to a new report.

More than half the people in the United States have listened to one, and nearly one out of three people listen to at least one podcast every month. Last year, it was more like one in four.

“That’s the biggest growth we’ve seen, and we’ve been covering podcasts since 2006,” said Tom Webster, a senior vice president at Edison Research, a company that tracks business trends.

HubSpot is taking very seriously the role and importance of podcasting, the software company based in Boston has three interesting shows.

The Growth Show, Weird Work, Skill Up and all of them have different strategies, different audiences, different topics, and duration.
